Sometimes I want to put my “adult hat” aside and remember what it was like being 5 years old.
I did just that last night.
I was invited to a “jungle party” up on a mountain. It was more like a mystical and magical fairytale land to me. I wouldn’t have been surprised if I saw Tinker Bell or her fairy sisters.
I loved playing on the swings as a young girl. I still love being on the swings as a woman. I will never be too old to have fun!
Having child-like joy is priceless. In that particular moment, I was present. I had no worries. I even forgot about and stopped worrying about the mosquitoes. No room for negativity. I was simply enjoying the moment I was in, soaking up the beauty around me. When night fell, I felt at peace looking up at the dark sky filled with planets and twinkling stars.
The most unbelievable thing about the whole experience is that I didn’t leave with a single mosquito bite. And, I didn’t have insect repellant on me either. Nor were my arms or back covered up. Perhaps, to think IS to create. When I forgot about the mosquitoes, maybe they forgot about me.
